‘Women Empowerment Cell’ has the motto of empowering all women engineers at Kathir College of Engineering. To visualize the motto, every year ‘WEC’ organizes ‘Seminars, Guest Lectures and Events’ to create awareness on various social issues pertaining to women. To be a forerunner in sharing power for women, several academic and administrative events at Kathir College of Engineering have been coordinated by women faculty members and female students. Recently a ‘Webinar’ on ‘Healthy Sustainable Practices for Women’s Health’ was organized on 22 nd March 2021 by E-Box Colleges. Renowned speaker Mr. Kokilashree Vickneswaran, Sustainable Living Practitioner, Artist and an Organic Farmer delivered the special address on this occasion. Also, every year on 8 th March ‘Women’s Day’ is celebrated with usual fervor. During the celebration, several competitions are conducted and winners are rewarded with prizes by the Head of the Institution.
