About the Department

Civil Engineering is one of the broadest and oldest of the engineering disciplines, extending across many technical specialties. Civil Engineers plan, design, and supervise the construction of facilities essential to modern life like space satellites and launching facilities, offshore structures, bridges, buildings, tunnels, highways, transit systems, dams, airports, harbors, water supply system and wastewater treatment plants. A civil engineer requires not only a high standard of engineering knowledge but also supervisory and administrative skills.

The Civil Engineering department was established in the academic year 2010. The department mainly focuses on imparting analytical and experimental skills for the students. This enables the students to apply their knowledge in various fields of Civil Engineering. The department also equips the students with the knowledge of software packages such as Auto CAD, STAAD PRO, Revit Architecture, ArcGIS, Primavera and SAP2000. The department ensures industrial training for the students to give them practical insight into the various methods of construction. Our unique approach of theoretical knowledge and practical application of skills make our students well prepared for their future careers.
